Monday 10th – Sunday 16th June – ‘Getting Carers Connected’
Carers Week is a great opportunity to raise awareness and recognise the huge contribution carers make. Across the UK today 6.5 million people are carers, supporting a loved one who is older, disabled, seriously ill or has mental health issues.
Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. It also helps people who don’t think of themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as carers and access much-needed support.
Islington Carers Hub will be hosting a range of FREE events and activities from Monday 10th to Friday 14th June 2019. Please note that for some events, booking is essential due to limited spaces. To find out more please call o800 085 1141 or o20 7281 3319 or email: email@example.com. Click here for a copy of our events leaflet. ALL ISLINGTON CARERS ARE WELCOME.

Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK.
The focus on this year’s Carers Week is “Helping Carers to be healthy and Connected”.
This Carers Week we are looking at all the ways we can support carers to stay Healthy and Connected. Building communities which support carers to look after their loved ones well, while recognising that they are individuals with health and wellbeing needs of their own.
