Support for unpaid carers
Islington Carers Hub provides support for unpaid carers who look after a friend, partner or relative due to an illness, disability or an alcohol or substance use disorder.
We provide a helpline, advice appointments, carers’ activities, regular newsletters and mailings and Carer’s Assessments.
To be eligible for support from Islington Carers Hub, the carer needs to be 18 years or over and live, work or care for someone living in Islington. The person they are looking after can be of any age.

Offering support to someone who might be a carer
Being an informal carer can be challenging, emotionally, physically and financially. However, people looking after a friend, partner or family member often don’t think of themselves as a ‘carer’, so often miss out on valuable support. For information about how to identify if someone is a ‘carer’ and how to go about offering support, see our professionals guide to Offering support to someone looking after a friend or relative.
To refer a carer or to enquire about the Islington Carers Partnership Network, please contact us on the Islington Carers Hub helpline: 020 7281 3319 (Mon – Fri, 9am – 5pm), email us on info@islingtoncarershub.org or complete the short form below.
