Our support groups are a chance for carers to get together. The groups are friendly and welcoming. Please contact Islington Carers Hub if you would like to find out more before you come along.
Mental Health Carers Group – First Tuesday of the month, bi-monthly – Feb, April, June, August, October and Dec 2019 – 2.30-4pm, Ground Floor 9 Manor Gardens, London N7 6LA. This group is for all mental health carers.
Group for all Carers at St Luke’s Community Centre – Second Monday of the month 11.30 am- 1pm. St Luke’s Centre, 90 Central Street, London EC1V 8AJ. Come and join us in the Lounge at this lovely, vibrant community centre. Stay for a delicious low-cost lunch afterwards if you like.
Group for all carers at Upper Holloway Baptist Church – Fourth Wednesday of the month, 10:30am – 12 noon at Upper Holloway Baptist Church 11 Tollington Way, N7 6GR. Any carer can attend this group
Black and Minority Ethnic Carers Group – Last Friday of the month 2.30 – 4pm at The Old Fire Station 84 Mayton Street, London N7 6QT. This group is open to Black and ethnic minority carers. A lively and sociable group for all Black and ethnic minority carers.

Archway District & Carers Group
This group meets most Wednesdays, from 2-4pm at New Orleans Hall, Cromartie Road, N19 3TH. It is open to all carers of all ages and provides information and social activities and encourages carers to share experiences. Please contact Kirsty on 020 8361 4475 for more information.
Alzheimer’s Society ‘Singing for the Brain’
A friendly, structured singing group for people with dementia and their carers in a stimulating and social environment.
Hidden in the fun are activities which build on the well-known preserved memory for song and music in the brain. Even when many memories are hard to retrieve, music is especially easy to recall.
The group takes place every Tuesday from 10.30am – 12.30pm at Hargrave Hall, Hargrave Road, London N19 5SP

CASA Families, Partners and Friends Service
People concerned about someone else’s drug or alcohol misuse often do not know how to help the misuser, or how to protect their own health and sanity. Support and information can have a huge impact, and are available – in confidence – to residents of Islington whose family member, partner or friend has a substance misuse problem. Non-resident carers can also get help, if the substance misuser in their life lives in Islington. The service offers one-to-one counselling and a weekly support group.

Mind Yourself Irish Carers Group
Mind Yourself supports Irish people in London who want to improve or maintain their physical or mental health. They provide health related one-one support (information , advice and advocacy), accompaniment to health related appointments and group activities. You can refer yourself or you can refer a friend or family member with their consent. As part of their group activities they offer a monthly carers group at The Old Fire Station, 84 Mayton Street London N7 6QT, for anyone who identfies themselves as Irish and a Carer and are welcome to come along and discuss their their experiences and find support.
