  • Health and Nature Walk – Fri 7 February
    The walk is guided by Elena from the Islington Ecology Centre in Gillespie Park who has a wealth of knowledge about nature. The session always finishes with tea and biscuits. All welcome. Dementia-friendly. Drop-in, no need to book.
  • Carers for Carers Meet-up – Tue 11 February
    Connect with others who also look after a friend or family member and discover a supportive space to talk, share and gain insights over a tea or coffee.
  • Let’s Talk: Housing options – Thu 20 February
    Our regular monthly information sharing event. It’s informal, relaxed and social. This month, members of the Islington Council Housing team will be talking about housing options in Islington, including sheltered housing.
  • Park Theatre for Islington Carers – Thu 20 February
    Come and join us for our monthly Carers event at the Park Theatre in Finsbury Park. An good opportunity to meet other carers registered with Islington Carers Hub before the matinee performances. The matinee this month is The Gift. (Pay What You Can – suggested £3)
  • Singing Workshop – Wed 26 February
    Rediscover the power of singing in community. Led by Ulanah, a professional mindfulness practitioner and coach, the session begins with relaxation techniques and vocal warm-ups.
  • Park Cuppa Special Edition: ‘How to Read a Painting’ – Wed 26 February
    Drop-in for tea, coffee and a chat  and dive into the world of art to discuss how to truly understand and appreciate iconic paintings.
  • Conflict resolution / Challenging behaviour course – Thu 27 Feb and 6 Mar
    A two part course on identifying ways to manage conflict or difficult behaviour linked to Stroke or Dementia. We will look at what the causes and strategies to understand and support the behavioural needs of the person you care for.
  • Aqua Fitness – Tuesdays
    A good cardiovascular workout, delivered by Healthy Generations. Great for helping to improve heart health.
