No booking required. A slow guided walk around Gillespie Park, Islington’s largest nature reserve, listening to the birds and spotting the wildflowers. Free hot drinks to follow.
How to join?
The walk takes place from the Islington Ecology Centre. No need to book, simply join them on the day.
Accessibility information
There are disabled access toilets available at the Ecology Centre. The walk is on well trodden paths but they are not flat or tarmacked. They may occasionally be a little muddy but they will avoid very muddy areas.
How to find the Islington Ecology Centre?
Islington Ecology Centre is the blue wooden building just inside the park entrance on Drayton Park. There is one disabled car parking space outside the centre and room for another car. They are a 4 minute walk from Arsenal tube station. Just turn right outside the station and follow the road around the bend. The entrance to the park is on your right hand side.
Nearest bus stops are on Blackstock Road. It is around 8-10 minutes walk from Blackstock Road to Islington Ecology Centre.
