On 26Ā September, Islington Council andĀ Islington Carers Hub hosted a ‘Dementia Information Event’ at Arsenal Community Hub as part of Alzheimer’s Awareness Month.
Information stalls provided Islington residents, carers and professionals information about the condition and local support available for those living with or caring for someone living with dementia.
Cllr Janet Burgess, Carers Champion for Islington, and Sophia Stevens, Commissioning Manager at Age-Well Islington, were present. Both women were delighted with the event, and expressed how important they believe peer support and easily-accessible information is for people living with the condition and their carers.
